BuildBrief is an assistant tool designed to help developers turn product ideas into structured SPEC.md and TASKS.md documents. It uses AI language models to generate content based on your inputs.

AI-Generated Content

All content generated by BuildBrief (including SPEC.md, TASKS.md, and clarifying questions) is produced by AI models. This output may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or suggestions that are not suitable for your specific context. You are responsible for reviewing, validating, and adapting all generated content before using it in any development workflow.

No Warranty

BuildBrief is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated SPEC.md or TASKS.md documents are complete, accurate, or suitable for production use. The tool is an MVP and may contain bugs, limitations, or unexpected behavior.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the BuildBrief project and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this tool or its generated content. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from bugs in generated code, missed requirements, architectural flaws, or delays in development.

User Responsibility

By using BuildBrief, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for evaluating the quality, safety, and suitability of all AI-generated outputs. You agree to independently verify any generated code, specifications, or task lists before incorporating them into your projects.

API Provider Terms

BuildBrief relies on third-party AI providers that you configure. Your use of those providers is subject to their respective terms of service and acceptable use policies. BuildBrief is not responsible for any actions taken by your configured AI provider.
